Freud - A netflix series review

Freud is a fictional series inspired by the life of Sigmund Freud. In this series, the young Sigmund Freud tries to practice his hypnotherapy on his patients. He struggles in his career as psychiatrist. He joins with the outsiders to find out the brutal killer. It is mind blowing dark psychological thriller.

Robert Finster acts as Freud and he nails it. It is a slow burn thriller. So, we have to keep patience for acceleration. The slow burning speed is okay for dark thriller but is it okay for dark psychological thriller?

This is the major problem in this series.

An episode runs nearly an hour but only 30-40minutes are good to watch. Remaining hours are taking time to boost up the scenes. It is acceptable to take time for one ot two episodes but it takes the same amount of time to boost the scenes for each and every episode. Overall, the concept is worth to watch but it is not much entertaining.

Freud (2020) - a normal investigative thriller with the theories of Sigmund Freud. Freud character is a kind of pillar for this series. This is not the director's mistake. This kind of screenplay only suits for this dark psychological thriller because it is necessary to show minute details. Overall, Freud is a slow burn but well build in its quality but have to keep patience.

Replicas (2018) - Movie Review

     Replicas (2018) is a sci-fiction cum thriller movie by Jeffery Nachmanoff. Keanu Reeves is one of the producers for this film. It is about the crossing the boundaries between life and death scientifically.Apparently the movie is a disaster in box office. The movie's budget is 3 crores USD but the collection is just 96 lakhs USD (wiki).

     An intelligent scientist (Reeves) lost his family in a crash. He tried to bring back.his family alive as a clone by using the technique called the neural imprint. It is just like the photocopy of a human brain with his consciousness. He cloned their neural imprints with their exact bodies. His boss wanted to make it as a business. Finally, the ended with numerous unanswered questions.

     From my point of view, the movie contains an intellectual concept and this concept is enough for an action packed magnificient thriller. Everything is going well without any lagging. They give importance for the story and character's emotional aspects but not for the action and chasing scenes.

     The director's focus is in the logic behind the clone. He tries to convey the concept to the audience. He gives much importance to background and every detailing which is different from other sci-fic movies. Reeves has its own style of choosing the stories like THE MATRIX, THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL etc. Those movies create strong impact due to the climax scenes but this movie lacks numerous answers to the questions.

      They are saying in this scientific world these things are ordinary but it is not for common people. The director gives plain climax at the end which does not create any impact and it is illogical. Overall, the film is good to watch and worth to spend your time but it will not fullfill your expeactations like his other movies.

Spies in Disguise - Movie Review

     Sterling(Will Smith) is a top agent. He always want to do the things in his way. He likes action. Walter(Tom Holland) is a weirdo. He always want to save the people. Initially, he is treated as weirdo because of his strange gadgets. Lance sterling is blamed for database theft.

     Accidentally, the weirdo kid altered Lance's gene and Lance changed as a pigeon. Then, as usual, the weirdo kid and Lance as a pigeon try to save the world and their agency.

     Will smith's lively voice gives extra life for Lance's character. It seems like live action movie. It is one the best Will Smith movies and for Tom Holland too. Without any ego, both the characters are given equal importance. In some scenes, Tom Holland overtakes Will Smith from the point of screen spacing and characterisation.

     Ninety minutes film is totally entertaining without any lagging. A big salute to Nick Bruno and Troy Quane for their extra-ordinary work. As usual, animation quality is at the peak and BGM also.

     Overall, the film is engaging and entertaining package for all kinds of audiences.
