Goodnight Mommy (2014) - The Thriller Movie review

After the terrible incident, Lucas's mother tried to recover from the major surgery. She surged her face due to the accident. Her twin children beleived that their mother was not a real mother and they ready to do anything to bring her mother back. After some terrific incidents, the audience cane to know creepy dark twists at the end.

First of all, this is not a normal horror story which contains a dark house, a devil spirit with the spirit of vengence and the excorcism scenes etc. It is told by dream visions and reality.

Sometimes it is confused. In some places, it is difficult to find which is dream vision. This is the major drawback. The line between the dream and reality is blurred throughout the film.

Normally, slow burn trick adds some thriller feeling in a horror film. In this case no doubt it arises curiosities but at some point it will make the audiences impatient. This is not a slow burn but slow slow slow slow burn actually. Nothing can do about this because it is the nature of the plot.

The director do not want to add commercila elements like creating tension, horrible blood scenes etc. He do not deviate from the nature of the plot. The final twists are good but it is unable to understand for normal movie goers.

Overall, Goodnight Mommy is an unique, dark creepy thriller for intellctual movie lovers but not for the average audiences. Stay home and stay safe. The situation will change soon.

Bad Boys For Life - Quarantine Movie Review

Marcus wants to retire. Unfortunately, Mike is injured by a drug lord. For the last time, Marcus decides to join with Mike to discover the lord who have attacked him. This mission reveals the darkest secret of Mike's past.

Once again, Badboys for life is an another action treat. Comparing with the prequels, this movie gives less space for comedy and more space for emotions. This is the only drawback in this film.

As an average audience I can feel that something is missing throughout the film. In the middle, there is a lag for half an hour. Anyway, it is managed by the unpredictable twist.

Action sequences are average but it is less powerful. The climax sequence manages to hide all these drawbacks. It is a balanced movie because somehow they are able to manage. If they miss the first scene, then they manage in their second scene. If they miss the second half an hour, they manage in the final twenty minutes and so on.

Particularly, the climax action scene is marvellous. Overall, the film is worth to spend your time with your family.

Black Mirror: Bandersnatch - Quarantine Movie Review

Black Mirror: Bandersnatch is a psychological thriller movie by David Slade. May be the concept is old but the way it is presented is awesome. An young boy tries to live his life in the concept of a videogame called Bandersnatch which is based on his favourite book.

The movie deals with the multiple choices with multiple endings. The movie contains several endings and it seems little bit of confusing. For an average movie goer, it is difficult to understand the concept of multiple realities.

What will happen if we get multiple chances in our life?

Yes, it will create multiple results. Those multiple results have great impact on others' life also. Sometimes, the movie seems boaring due to the repeated scenes but it is managed by the multiple decisions scenes. This concept is effectively used in the action movies like Happy Death Day, In the edge of Tomorrow etc. It is based on video game and there is no chance for the action sequences.

Eventhough there is not space for action scened and vfx it is able to maintain the pace till the end. Overall, Bandersnatch is a brilliant movie and it is not for average movie goers. Worth to spend your time in quarantine.

The Babysitter (2017)- Quarantine Movie Review

The Babysitter is a teenage comedy horror film by Mcg. The movie starts plainly but at a certain point it is started to fill with unexpected twists and turns. So, I am not going to discuss about the story in a detailed manner. I am going to tell the storyline only.

Bee is a young babysitter (hot too) for Cole. Cole decides to pretend sleep so that he acn spy Bee what would be her activities at the night. At the night, Cole discovers the heart stopping truth regarding his babysitter Bee.

As a hot babysitter Samara Weaving, played her role perfectly. She nailed it. It is a tug of war between a teenager and his babysitter so other characters are not given equal importance. The BGM and the quality of the film is good for this budget.

Actually, it would be a movie of normal cat and mouse game between the survivor ans the victim. But the director's creativity in making and the unexpected twist help the movie to upgrade into next level. Overall, the film is a good horror comedy entertainment and it is worth to spend your quaratine time. It is PG Rated movie which contains bloody violence and extended hot kissing scenes. Children are not advisable to watch this.

It is now streaming in netflix.

Young Detective Dee : The Raise of the sea dragon- Quarantine Movie Review

Young Detective Dee is visually strong and action packed movie by Tsui Hark. The investigation on report of sea monster reveals the dark secret in the dynasty.

The film is engaged audience for two hours without any lagging. The movie is technically strong but by making it is quite week. Somehow, the screenplay and action scenes balanced those negative points.

They try like Sherlock Holmes technique to introduce Dee but it is partially succeeded. Apart from the entertainment, there are several logical questions are there to answer.

1. It is just a big fish. Why the title Sea Dragon?
2. What is the motive behind the interruption of the creature? (The sea monster plot do not give any extra attraction)
3. There is no proper back story of Dee.
4. The film portrays Dee is the only clever person in the dynasty (In Sherlock, the doctor also plays major role)


Now, the film is streaming in Netflix.

Overall, Young Detective Dee is perfect movie only for entertainment, if you do not worry about other things. It will be fun to spend your time with family by watching this time.

The Big show Show - A Netflix series

The Big show Show is one of the finest witty series in netflix. It is about the world's biggest dad struggles to raise his three daughters after his retirement. Big show also wants to do something after his retirement.

The first season contains eight episodes. There is also a mild satire on WWE which is really enjoyable. The is extremely fun and excitement. The only drawback is the story line. It is very old but it is reflecting in a new dimension because of Big show.

The family head is a pro wrestler. This alone concept helps to attain new dimension. Overall, the Bigshow show is worth to spend your time with your family in these quarantine days.

Along with the Gods: The Last 49 days - Movie Review

The events in this story are immediately happened after its prequel. This time joo ho min focused on the back story of the guardians. The plot is not going to be discussed here because it may become a spoiler. We can discuss the other aspects of this film.

Comparing with its prequel, this movie contains heart touching and heart melting story. Every guardian is given equal importance. Particularly, the climax twists.

The movie is visually stunning, action packed and adventurous. The only drawback in this film is time duration. There are several illogical scenes but it is not mattered much due to the extra-ordinary screenplay and the back ground music. Overall, the film is worth to watch and most of the people are waiting for its second sequel. One of the best films to watch in this quarantine days.
