Jason statham's The Beekeeper (2024) is a classical action movie directed by David Ayer. It is a simple 2000's pattern action movie. Jason's house owner Mrs.Parker's client money was mishandled by a corporate Data Company. Mrs.Parker committed suicide for her mistake. Jason aka The Beekeeper resolved to an avenge for killing the innocents.
Later plot revealed that he is not a normal Beekeeper. The movie was straight forward and simple. This type of old schemed movie is an art. It was good to see such schemed movie in this era after a long time. As usual Jason's acting was excellent and this type of role was like eating a feast for him.
The action sequence and the bgm was a rock pillar for this film. The antu-hero should be more powerful for this type of film. Apart from the villian was being rich and powerful, he did not even try to stop the Beekeeper. The villian charcter was loosely written.
Sometimes we might ask few questions like
1. Why statham was not taking any bullets)
2. Why no one could defeated him? ( Cinema logics)
Overall, The Beekeeper is an engaging, action packed old style movie in Jason's mode. It is worth to watch.
