The Sandman season 2 deals with the various story lines such as dream's relationship with his son Orpheus, redemption for his former lover Nada, his complex relationship with his siblings, search for his lost brother 'Destruction', Lucifier's shocking decision, Dream's decision over hell etc.,
The first season dealt with the character development. We think that the second season is going to deal with Lucifier vs Dream. Unfortunately, the second season has various plots. There are no reasons why the happenings are happenings and no logical explanations.
The variety of plots in a single is the major drawback. From this series we can see how the endlesses are complicated than human beings. There are unanswered questions throughout the series. There are so many weak characters. Somehow they have managed the series engaged. There are several ups and downs through the plot.
Overall, The Sandman season 2 is a well made, decent acted, a series with so many loopholes. It is just a passable series only.
