Thug Life (2025) is a Tamil language Indian gangster movie directed by the legend Maniratnam. It is casted by Padma shree Kamal Hasan, Little superstar Simbhu, Abirami, Trisha, Nazeer and so on.
Simbhu's father was shot in a gun fight between police and gangster. Gangster Sakthivel taken care of little simbu and promised to find his missed sister Chandra.
The Plot dealt with Sakthivel's adventures and misadventures,emotional misleadings etc.,. The actors acted in this movie were already legends. So, there was no comments on their performance. They were extreme in their performance. The songs were already a hit in juke box and Ar Rahman's BGM was awesome.
The major drawback was a flat screenplay. There were no ups and downs and the movie became a normal revenge thriller. We had seen this type of plot in various world and local movies and it was not given much impact.
The hero tried to become a monk within two years was an another loophole in this movie. Overall, Thug Life (2025) is an average usual gangster thriller not Maniratnam's best but his passable producation.
