So here it is.. another the most awaiting movie is running theaters now. Let's see how it is...?
ANNABELLE: CREATION is one of the biggest disappointments in this year. This movie is added in the list of The Mummy, Jack Reacher, Alien (2017) etc. The movie Annabelle is unable to fulfill the audience's thirst for thriller. The screenplay is vague. It has been failed what The Conjuring did.
The major reason for the conjuring's success is that it kept the temper. The movie starts with some point and gradually rise its temper step by step and finally it would reached the climax. Annabelle tries the same but it is failed in keeping audience's temper. It does not create any interest among horror phobiacs. Initially it seems like good movie but after an half hour we come to know that movie is filled by whole emptiness.
Generally comparison is common in world cinemas. The comparison on same team's product is unavoidable too. James Wan, as a producer he must focus on some things before release. Lights out is his one of the productions. We know how it is and we know its quality. Annabelle is miserably failed in all these things and it is unexpected.
I do not want to blame director or producer because the film is earning well. All shows are running successfully especially in India. As an audience I can tell the people's reaction. Seriously they are disappointed and some are started to sleep. I can say one thing, The director believes that the toy, the name of the old series and the music is enough to make Annabelle:Creation and his judgement becomes wrong.
I have few questions :
1. Is it necessary that the protagonist must be physically handicapped in this script?
2. Does the home take necessary steps to find her?
3. How did the parents easily believe that she was their child?
4. General audience did not understand the ending? (Annabelle 1 had this murder scene. Here it reveals the loss of continuity)
I do not mean that this is completely worthless but it is unable to fulfill the expectations. It is one time watchable for time pass.
Imdb - 7.1/10

My Rating-4/10
