Kantara: A Legend Chapter I (2025)- Movie Review.

Kantara : A Legend Chapter I (2025) is a devotional epic movie by Rishab Shetty. The plot takes place 300 years before Kantara movie. It's a prequel to Kantara (2022). A cruel king tried to capture Kantara ( Eswara poonthottam) where spices are planted naturally. He tries to kill the tribals and wants to do the business. So, the tribal God "Panjuruli" tries to save the people through Rishab Shetty.

The plot is Good vs Evil. The sub-Plots like how the dark forces entering into the Kantara, the entrance of cruel King makes the movie special. The visual effects are stunning and the sound designing is at the peak. The transformation of the characters are shocking and the twists are mind-blowing.

The last 40 minutes, the transformation of the Rishab is wonderful and his acting might be rewarded with an award. The thandava by the Rishab Shetty is a kind of magic in this movie. The heroine character is unexpected. The duration is the major drawback. It should be cut short for atleast 20 minutes. It must be presented in a crispy way. Apart from the duration, the movie is presented as a commercial product not like the previous movie which is more emotional and makes more connection with the audience.

Even though the twists are good but we have to wait for two hours to taste the twists. The movie's production quality is good and some scenes are lagged. The songs are not pretty much interested without the visuals. The movie is completely dependent upon the visuals and last thandava portions but not upon proper screenplay.

Overall, Kantara: A Legend Chapter I (2025)  is visually striking, devotional thriller with tiring duration. It is worth to watch the movie in the theatres.
